The Ethiopian admitted he could not understand unless someone explained it to him. Project Philip is based on the Acts chapter 8 story of Philip and the Ethiopian, when Philip asked the travelling Ethiopian if he understood the Scripture he was reading. Each child who completes these studies will have his own copy of God's Word to take home and cherish for a lifetime. This new program, called Project Philip for Children will not only teach kids the principles of the Bible, but also the methods to share God's love with other children. The pictures and activities scattered throughout the Bible study booklets are unique to the culture of the children they are intended to reach. The specialty of this program is that it is written and designed by Christians from Latin America, but not a Spanish translation of material that originated in English. Materials and Bibles for children will arrive in each of these countries in the coming months. Currently the Bible League has ministry in Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and among U.S. "There has not been a widespread program of evangelism and discipleship for children in Latin America, it is an unprecedented step in reaching Spanish-speaking children." says the Director of Latin America Ministries this program. A new children's Bible study program will be introduced soon throughout Mexico and other Latin American countries which has delighted many Latin American children. Recently, The Bible League volunteers resorted to using booklets written for adults in reaching children. The ministry of Bible League Australia is able to plant God’s Word solely through the generous support of the Christian community.In Latin America where over 50 percent of the population is under the age of 18, it is clear to see the desperate need to develop children's materials to build up their faith since they are young and at a very influential age. But now I know Him and I personally accepted Him into my life,” he says. “My intellect, the ideologies I formed about God, limited me to understand who He is. He began to understand who God is and realised he wanted a relationship with Him. Through Bible League’s Project Philip study, Jorge began experiencing the Lord and questioning all the things he once knew.

Sandra invited Jorge to an online Project Philip Bible study and, to her surprise, he agreed to attend. “When your life is at risk and your health is bad, you desperately look for other alternatives just to save your life.” “The adversities of life bend you,” he says. But when his world was turned upside down by the virus, he began questioning his beliefs. “I did not believe in the things of God, nor was I interested,” he says. When he contracted COVID-19, she connected with him through WhatsApp to offer hope and encouragement. Sandra, a Bible League-trained Project Philip Bible study leader, had known Jorge for years.
And through these digital platforms, Jorge was able to learn about God. But thankfully, God created opportunities through digital platforms like Zoom and WhatsApp. Across Mexico and the globe, COVID-19 severely affected churches and ministries.
